Preparations for the singing competition „First Voice“
The activity will be realized in a specific, so-called, hybrid way. Namely, participants from Croatia will participate in the competition live in Croatia and will connect with Hungarian participants via Zoom. The competition will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the city of Koprivnica with the following link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQZhIH7bpkqEI_gtkbYAv3w, enabling the broad public to watch the competition.
The basic idea of the competition First Voice is to enable gifted children/young people show their talents in singing, children who love songs and singing, but the competition also aims to connect through music and to feel the thrill of a competition.
The preparations have lasted for a month, and each partner have organized singing lessons for the participants in their cities, led by professional singers. Each participant will sing one song in front of an expert judges, in Croatian or Hungarian or English, and the winners, as well as all other participants, will receive prizes. During the preparations for the competition, the Croatian and Hungarian participants had a task to learn about the beauties of Croatian and Hungarian language through music. The Croatian participants had the task to learn a Hungarian song Tavaszi szél vizet áraszt, and the Hungarian participants learned Čula jesam. Both songs will be performed during the competition.
